A high view of the Old city of Yazd at the late afternoon. Yazd is one of the oldest living city in the world. Yazd was visited by Marco Polo in 1272, who described it as a good and noble city and remarked its silk production. The name Yazd means worship. And badgir or the wind tower to control the indoor temperature, is one of distinctive feature of this city.
